5th Annual Virtual Genomics and Bioinformatics Conference
25 - 28 October 2005

Marshall University will host an location for the 5th Annual Virtual Genomics and Bioinformatics Conference from October 25 through October 28, 2005.

This is a conference broadcast in on RealPlayer to a location on campus (Room G31 in the basement of Morrow Library). Signs will be posted. The conference is broadcast from North Dakota, with others chiming in from around the world. The slides are available for download in many cases, and are very useful for following the conference. Room G31 will be set up and folks can drop in and out to listen to the conference- This is a computer lab and there are computers available for use while listening to the broadcast, so you can download slides.

  • Oct 25 is Computational Chemistry (morning) and Structural Bioinformatics (afternoon).
  • Oct 26 is Ethics Education and Biomedical Research Networks (morning) and Genomics of Cancer and Toxicogenomics (afternoon).
  • Oct 27 is Biocomplexity and Systems Biology (morning) and Biocomplexity and Artificial Life (afternoon).
  • Oct 28 is Infectious Disease (morning) and Nanotechnology (afternoon).

The schedule is roughly 8:00am - 5:30pm with a break for 1 hour at lunch.
